Section 802 of the Social Security Act
required individuals to file an application in order to establish
that the individuals is entitled to benefits of title VIII. In
addition to filing an application an individual must provide
documentary evidence as specified in 20 CFR 408. The information
provided is used to determine entitlement to title VII benefits.
The respondents are certain World War II veterans applying for
title VIII benefits.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
