This ICR is
approved. It adds 1.8 million burden hours for lead and copper,
including adjustments to the lead and copper burden totals to
reflect 1) the minor adjustments rule, 2) reduced monitoring and
compliance activities based on schedules contained in the origianl
lead and copper rule, and 3) a transfer of program overhead burden
to the general drinking water program ICR. It also include 352
additional burden hours for aeramonus monitoring that were
submitted on an ICR change worksheet dated 10/21/02. Simultaneously
with this approval, OMB is closing out ICR 2040-0210, which had
previously authorized reporting and record keeping requirements
associated with lead and copper and which included 2.4 million
burden hours for those activities._See ICR documentation for

The Disinfectants/Disinfection
Byproducts, Chemical and Radionuclides Rules ICR is the result of a
consolidation of activities covered in the 1998 Stage 1 DBPR ICR,
some rules and actitivites covered in the 1993 PWSS ICR and
activities and rules previously covered in other Office of Ground
Water Drinking Water (OGWDW) standalone ICRs. As part of the
consolidation effort, the Disinfectants/Disinfection, Chemical, and
Radionuclides Rules ICR will be amended to include burden and costs
associated with the Lead and Copper Rule. The National Primary
Drinking Water for Lead and Copper (The Lead and Coppe rule or
LCR),.......
