resubmission, HRSA consults extensively with the outside groups
described in section 8 of the Supporting Statement, pgs. 11 -12. In
particular, HRSA must continue to evaluate the effectiveness of the
HPDB's interface with the HIPDB and report on the status of these
efforts in the next PRA submission; and 2) the next PRA submission
must include an explanation of the relationship of the HPDB to the
Department's/ AHRQ's broader initiatives in medical errors
reporting.

Data collected on adverse actions and
information relating to the professional competence and conduct of
physicians and other health care practitioners will be shared with
hospitals, licensing boards, professional societies, and selected
health providers. These data will be used to maintain and improve
health care and will be obtained from insurers, licensure boards,
hospitals, and other providers.
