The Rule implements Title V Subtitle A
of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Title V limits instances in which a
financial institution may disclose a consumer's nonpublic personal
information to a non-affiliated party. The requirements ensure that
customers and consumers, subject to certain exceptions have access
to the privacy policies of the financial institutions with which
they conduct business.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
