The Persistent Effects of Treatment
Studies (PETS) is a family of coordinated studies to evaluate the
outcomes of drug and alcohol treatment received through a wide
range of publicly funded programs employing a varied mix of
treatment methods. Cuyahoga County's systems for client assessment
and treatment data provide a comprehensive range of administrative
data to complement data collected through a series of client
interviews. Under Cleveland Target Cities funding, client intake
and 12-month follow-up interviews were conducted; 24-month
