This project will supplement and
extend findings of a multi-site investigation addressing the
treatment needs of methamphetamine abusers and strategies to
integrate research into the real world of drug abuse treatment.
Clients will be interviewed to assess status & functioning 36
months after intake to treatment (either treatment-as-usual or a
manualized Matrix Model treatment). Clients and treatment providers
will also be interviewed about their attitudes toward the Matrix
Model. The third component, a cost analysis study, will assess the
cost effectiveness and cost benefits of both treatment approaches
utilizing two........
