incentives and on the race/ethnicity question.

The information obtained in this
survey will be used by the Department of Labor, other government
agencies, academic researchers, the news media, and the general
public to understand the employment experiences and life-cycle
transitions of men and women born in the years 1957 to 1964 and
living in the United States when the survey began in 1979.
