Under sections 471(a)(16), 475(5) and
475(6) of the SSA and 45 CFR 1356.21(f)(g), to be eligible for
payments States must develop a case plan [as defined in section
475(1)] for each child receiving foster care maintenance payments
and provide a case review system that meets the requirements in
section 475(5). Through these requirements States also comply, in
part, with title IV-B, section 422(b)(10) which assures certain
protections to children in foster care.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
