The information
collection requirements associated with the NPRM for the Single
Full Shift Sampling Program are not approved at this time. DOL is
examining public comment in response to this NPRM. The preamble to
the final rule will address how the agency has addressed comments
related to minimizing the burden of this collection and maximizing
its utility.

Coal Mine operator are required to
collect and submit respirable dust samples to MSHA for analysis.
Pertinent information associated with identifying and analyzing
these samples is submitted on the dust data cards that accompany
the samples. The proposed regulation, 1Determination of
Concentration of Respirable Coal Mine Dust (1219-AB18) will require
a slight increase of paperwork.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
