Collection of this information used
for immigration status confirmation reduces the potential of fraud
and abuse caused by ineligible aliens receiving federally
subsidized student financial assistance under title IV of the
Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended. The respondent population
is comprised of 7310 postsecondary institutions who participate in
administration of the title IV, HEA programs.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
