Approved as
amended by ED's memos and revisions of 9/27/98, 10/7/98, and
10/8/98. In addition, the following terms of clearance apply: 1)
Consistent with the 9/27 memo, in ED submission of the State Plan
and Annual Report for 1999, ED will investigate whether to capture
outstanding programs, procedures or practices thus reducing the
burden associated with this approval request. 2) ED will further
revise the *site visits* section of the instructions to delete the
sentence that begins *Consequently, there will be no change...* as
this sentence is not accurate. 3) OMB notes that 60 hours were
added to the burden total to account for the 5 site visits that
will require respondents to spend 12 hours responding to ED
information collection requests.
