Approved as
amended by ED's memos and revisions to OMB of 9/22/98 and 9/29/98.
In addition, ED will, in the submission of the 2000-2001 SAR
clearance package, provide OMB with a report on administrative (or
non-legislative) options for developing a pilot for a match with
IRS for the purposes of income verification. Further ED will update
OMB on the initiative to allow schools to receive and transmit
ISIRS and payment information via the web (rather than the TIVWAN).
OMB notes that ED's response #5 of the supporting statement
indicates an intention to begin movement off the TIVWAN and to the
web in January of 1999.
