rule are provided in the preamble to each rule. Upon renewal of
this ICR, the Agency shall provide a list of the chemicals covered
by the final PAIR rules issued by EPA over the next three
years.

The Preliminary Assessment Information
Rule requires chemical manufacturers and importers to report
information, such as chemical identification, quantity produced or
imported, chemical processes, employee exposure, environmental
releases and use, that will help EPA evaluate the potential for
adverse human health and environmental effects caused by the
manufacture or importation of identified chemical substances,
mixtures, or categories. This information enables EPA to monitor
the production, importation, and use of the identified chemical
substance or mixture and to identify, assess, or manage
