information requirements were formerly approved under a generic
clearance for certification records under OMB #1218-0210. In
drafting its proposed rule on Revocation of Certification Records
For Tests, Inspections, and Training, DOL shall consider the public
comments received on these information collection requirements in
this extension of PRA approval.

The standard for shackles and hooks
requires that all hooks for which no applicable manufacturer's
recommendations are available be tested and that the employer
retain a certification record. The standard on portable air
receivers requires that portable, unfired pressure vessels not
built to the code requirements of 1915.172(a) be examined quarterly
and subjected to a yearly hydrostatic pressure test and that a
certification record be maintained.
