OMB approves
121,000 burden hours for submission of information from pesticide
registrants under FIFRA 6(a)(2), with an estimated cost of $11
million. Upon renewal of this ICR in three years, EPA shall
eliminate the burden associated with the first year of the rule. In
its next ICR for this activity EPA shall (1) re-evaluate the
estimates as part of its next request for an extension of the ICR
because estimates of the 1997 ICR were based on seveal predictions
(2) determine reporting trends under the new provisions and report
any reductions associated with the availability of electronic
submissions and (3) assess whether it is appropriate to continue
require reporting of minor health effects for non-residential uses,
based on evidence of the practical utility of the information and
the reporting burden.
