OMB approves
this case study of the efficacy of interactive multimedia in
central and western Virginian pre-adolescents, noting that the
results are not generalizable to the U.S. population. In addition,
NIH is not permitted to give respondents cash payments for
participation in the study. If NIH believes that some enticement is
necessary to increase the response rate to an acceptable level, NIH
may give respondents an in-kind gift (no more than $5-$10 value)
before their participation in the study.
