Abstract: The household survey will produce national estimates for health care use and expenditures and health insurance coverage. Respondents consist of persons living in a nationally representative subsample of households that participated in the 1995 National Health Interview Survey (NHIS). The survey of medical providers will supplement and verify the information given by household respondents.
