this followup study of older women with moderate to severe
disabilities. NIH will continue to interview and reexamine the
study participants in their homes until the end of the current
three year approval period. At that time, NIH will begin the above
followup study for an additional two years and will submit an
Information Correction Worksheet (OMB 83-C) to reflect the change
in burden.

The Women's Health and Aging Study
Telephone Followup is designed to obtain additional data on women
age 68 and older (previously examined) through telephone
interviews. The main objective of this follow-up study is to obtain
information on disability and nursing home admission to evaluate
factors related to the progression of disability and need for
long-term care.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
