Anglers who volunteer to tag billfish
are requested to submit a short report on the species and size of
the fish tagged and the tagging location. This information is
needed if information on the recovery of the tag is to have any
value. Data obtained from the tagging program are used to determine
growth rates and migratory patterns of billfish. Resulting analyses
are used in developing fishery management plans.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
