FCC should
provide an estimate of the number of VDT filings that have been
made electronically. This OMB control number will cover two basic
types of filings. The first are filings associated with Section 214
common carrier filings. The second, a subset of the first, are for
common carriers applying to offer video dialtone (VDT) services.
Common carrier services filing requirements are contained in 47 CFR
Section 63.01 to 63.601. VDT filings are covered in these sections
plus FCC Report CC 95-18, Second Report and Order and Second NPRM
to CC Docket 87-266, and CC Docket 87-266 Memorandum Opinion and
Order on Reconsideration and Third Further Notice of Proposed
Rulemaking (FCC 94-269). VDT rules were approved by OMB on March
28, 1995. FCC should consider modifying Part 63 of its rules to
incorporate references to deneral VDT filing requirements.
