INSPECT MACHINERY, EQUIPMENT, AND TOOLS, INCLUDING SELF-PROPELLED
EQUIPMENT, PRIOR TO USE TO ENSURE SAFE OPERATION. DEFECTS AFFECTING
SAFETY MUST BE CORRECTED IN A TIMELY MANNER. WHEN SAFETY DEFECTS ON
SELF-PROPELLED EQUIPMENT ARE NOT CORRECTED IMMEDIATELY, THE DEFECT
MUST BE REPORTED TO THE MINE OPERATOR WHO IS REQUIRED TO MAKE A
RECORD OF THE REPORTED DEFECTS.
