We have approved
this generic clearance package for customer satis- faction surveys
performed by regulatory agencies within the Department of Labor,
with the following conditions: 1) As it does under the generic
package for customer satisfaction surveys that OMB approved on
January 5, 1994, DOL will send a copy of each collection to OMB for
te days review prior to initiation of each project. 2) It is our
under- standing that collections under this generic clearance will
not suppla regular instruments used to assess compliance levels,
costs, or resour commitments. 3) To the extent practicable, surveys
approved under thi package will collect statistically valid
information. DOL should include the phone number of the BLS staff
member who reviewed each package when submitting it to OMB for
10-day review.

GENERIC CLEARANCE OF REGULATED ENTITIES FOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
SURVEYS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF E.O. 12862 SETTING
CUSTOMER SERVICE STANDARDS.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
