Abstract: THE INFORMATION COLLECTED BY THE SSA-3462 IS NEEDED TO DETERMINE AN INDIVIDUAL'S ELIGIBILITY TO SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME (SSI) PAYMENT AND TO ESTABLISH A PROTECTIVE FILING DATE, IF AN APPLICATION FOR SSI I FILED. THE AFFECTED PUBLIC CONSISTS OF PERSONS WHO INQUIRE ABOUT SSI, EITHER FOR THEMSELVES OR ON BEHALF OF SOMEONE ELSE.
