OMB approves
this survey through December 1992. OMB does not approve the
proposed questions on child care (Sec. 10). BLS must participate
the group to be convened by OMB to coordinate relevant federal
agencie which are collecting similar information. This meeting is
currently planned for 10 AM, Thursday, January 16, 1992, in room
8103 of the New Executive Office Building. At the completion of
this coordination effort, BLS should submit to OMB the revised set
of questions on child care that it proposes to include in the 1992
survey. OMB will act expeditiously upon receipt of the revised set
of Sec. 10 questions with the understanding that BLS can submit a
revised set of questions by means of an Inventory Correction
Worksheet (ICW) within a week of the OMB meeting and that OMB will
complete its review of Sec. no later than January 31, 1992. BLS is
reminded to submit an ICW to obtain approval of any changes
resulting from field tests. In preparation for future Paperwork
Reduction Act reviews in the National Longitudinal Survey series,
BLS should meet with OMB no later than March 1992 to discuss
payment of respondent incentives. Remarks entered 2/5/92 - See
attached revised terms of clearance. The previous terms concerning
the clearance of changes and the payment of respondent incentives
remains in force.
