Pursuant to the
Paperwork Reduction Act, OMB has approved in concept NIH's OMAR
Quick Launch Survey with the understanding that NIH will submit
each individual set of surveys for OMB clearance. OMB recogniz the
importance of implementing the surveys as close to one year before
a Consensus Development Conference as possible, and therefore
agrees t give such submissions an expedited 30-day review.

THE OFFICE OF MEDICAL APPLICATION OF
RESEARCH (OMAR) WILL CONDUCT SURVEYS OF PHYSICIANS TO EVALUATE
CHANGES IN THEIR PRACTICE BEHAVIOR RELATED TO BIOMEDICAL
TECHNOLOGIES, AND PRACTICES THAT ARE ASSESSED IN CONSENSUS
DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE (DCD). PHYSICIANS WILL BE SURVEYE AT THREE
TIMES - ONE YEAR BEFORE, JUST BEFORE AND ONE YEAR FOLLOWING A
DCD.
