CFR 1320 and the Paperwork Reduction Act, this collection of
information is approved through January 1991. This expiration date
does not apply to other data collected under this OMB control
number. Also, this approval is based on the understanding that EPA
will not ask questions about the "uses" for chemicals produced from
controlled substance feedstocks.

EPA IS REQUESTING A ONE-TIME
INFORMATION COLLECTION ON THE ACTIVITIES OF COMPANIES WHO PRODUCED,
TRANSFORMED, IMPORTED OR EXPORTED CERTAIN OZONE-DEPLETING
CHEMICALS. THE SPECIFIED CHEMICALS INCLUDE METHYL CHLOROFORM,
CARBON TETRACHLORIDE AND FULLY-HALOGENATED CHLOROFLUOROCARBONS
(CFC'S). THIS INFORMATION IS NEEDED TO SET THE BASELINE FOR
RESTRICTIONS UNDER THE LONDON AMENDMENTS TO THE MONTREAL
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
