PERSONNEL SCREENING. HEAD START GRANTEES MUST HAVE PERSONNEL
POLICIES WHICH AMONG OTHER THINGS, REQUIR BACKGROUND, EMPLOYMENT
HISTORY AND CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKS FOR INDIVIDUALS BEING CONSIDERED
FOR PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT. THSE REQUIREMENT PROMOTE EFFECTIVE
ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT AND WILL PREVE THE POSSIBILITY OF CHILD
ABUSE AND NEGLECT IN HEAD START PROGRAMS.
