A STATE EDUCATION AGENCY MUST PROVIDE
A COUNT OF ELIGIBLE IMMIGRANT CHILDREN & OTHER INFO. CONTAINED
IN AN APPLICATION TO RECEIVE PAYMENT UNDER THE EMERGENCY IMMIGRANT
EDUCATION ACT OF 1984. THE SECRETARY DETERMINES THE AMOUNT OF THE
PAYMENT TO AN SEA BASED ON THE COUNT OF ELIGIBLE CHILDREN REPORTED.
STATES ARE AUTHORIZED TO MAKE SUBGRANTS T LOCAL EDUCATIONAL
AGENCIES FOR SUPPLEMENTARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICES AND COSTS FOR
ELIGIBLE IMMIGRANT CHILDREN.
