THE RELATIONSHIP
OF THE EARLIER APPROVED NCHS PUBLICATIONS SURVEY TO THIS EVALUATION
RAISES SERIOUS QUESTIONS REGARDING THE APPROPRIATENESS OF PURSUING
THAT SURVEY. HOWEVER, SINCE PHS HAS CHOSEN TO UNDERTAKE BOTH OF
THESE STUDIES, IT MUST DEMONSTRATE IN FUTURE CLEARANCE REQUEST HOW
THE RESULTS OF THE PUBLICATIONS SURVEY WILL BE INTEGRATED INTO THI
EVALUATION. PRESUMABLY, PHS HAS PLANS TO UTILIZE THE DATA FROM THE
EARLIER SURVEY AND COULD ALTER THE SCOPE OF THIS EVALUATION AS A
RESUL OF THE FINDINGS FROM THE PUBLICATIONS SURVEY.
