Abstract: THIS CASE-CONTROL STUDY WILL ESTIMATE THE RISK OF CHRONIC RENAL FAILURE ASSOCIATED WITH ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES SUCH AS SOLVENTS METALS, ANALGESICS, AND OTHER DRUGS. EXPOSURE HISTORIES OF CASES WITH NEWLY DIAGNOSED DISEASE AND HEALTHY POPULATION CONTROLS WILL BE COMPARED. THE STUDY WILL BEGIN IN 1983/84 AND WILL TAKE 24 MONTHS TO COMPLETE.
