QUALIFIED RAILROAD EMPLOYEES ARE
REQUIRED TO INSPECT THE TRACK OVER WHICH TRAINS OPERATE TO
DETERMINE TRACT CONDITION AND TO TAKE NECESSAR ACTION TO PERMIT
SAFE PASSAGE OF TRAINS. RESULTS OF THESE INSPECTIONS AND ACTIONS
ARE RECORDED BY THE INSPECTOR AND MONITORED BY THE FEDERAL AND
STATE INSPECTORS TO ASSURE COMPLIANCE WITH PRESCRIBED SAFETY
STANDARDS.
