THE PRINCIPAL NEED AND USE IS TO
COLLECT RESEARCH DATA TO TEST THE HYPOTHESES OUTLINED IN THE
SUPPORTING STATEMENT FOR THE EVALUATION OF THE NATIONAL LONG-TERM
CARE DEMONSTRATION. THESE HYPOTHESES CONSIDER THE UTILIZATION OF
INFORMAL SERVICES AND THE PSYCHOLOGICAL AND FINANCIAL BURDEN ON
CAREGIVERS. ADMINISTRATION OF THE BASELINE IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN IN
NOVEMBER, 1982 AND CONTINUE THROUGH APRIL, 1983.
