is a reinstatement of an expired information collecti clearance
with no change in information collection requirements indicated,
agency must supply detailed justification for the change in burden
hours from the 586,560 reported in connection with the old
clearance to the 960 reported for this clearance request. A new
SF83 is required for resubmission.

THIS INFORMATION COLLECTION
REQUIREMENT IS AUTHORIZED BY SECTION 521 OF P.L. 95-87. THE FILING
OF INSPECTION REPORTS ARE NEEDED TO ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS OF OSM
REGULATIONS AND THE INTENT OF P.L. 95-87. THIS INFORMATION WILL BE
USED BY OSM AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN DETERMINING WHETHER AND HOW
P.L. 95-87 IS BEING ENFORCED. THE INFORMATION WILL BE USED BY THE
STATE IN ASSESSING PENALITIES AS EVIDENCE IN ENFORCEMENT CASES AND
AS AN INSPECTION MANAGEMENT RECORD.
