Abstract: THE FEDERAL INSURANCE ADMINISTRATION WISHES TO FACILITATE THE ENTRANCE OF COMMUNITIES INTO THE NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM, WHICH PROVID FEDERALLY-SUBSIDIZED FLOOD INSURANCE TO THOSE COMMUNITIES WHICH MAKE T COMMITMENT TO ADOPT AND ENFORCE LAND USE AND CONTROL MEASURES THAT WIL GUIDE LAND DEVELOPMENT IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS IN ORDER TO AVOID OR REDUC FUTURE FLOOD DAMAGE.
